RC Aircraft Motor Mount

3D-printed motor-mount assembly for a radio-controlled aircraft: custom bracket and mounting parts printed to fit the airframe and motor.
3D-printed motor-mount assembly fitted to an RC aircraft fuselage on a lab workbench

Project Overview

A radio-controlled aircraft build needed a motor mount that fits its particular airframe and motor. We printed the mounting parts so the motor sits exactly where the design calls for it, without machining a one-off bracket.

What We Made

  • A white mounting bracket with fastening holes that attaches to the fuselage
  • Red and orange printed parts that locate and support the motor
  • An assembly checked on the aircraft for fit before flight testing

Why 3D Printing

Small aircraft parts change often during development. Printing lets each revision be tried on the real airframe quickly and cheaply, and the geometry can follow the fuselage shape exactly. Send us your CAD file, or the part you need to fit, and we will recommend the right material and process.
